Project 365 {week 35}

It’s time!

This week I went back to work!

We are not all the way into our new fall routine;

that will come over the next two weeks.

But it’s starting…

August 25: Brother cuddles before bed.

August 26: My last official day of summer home with the boys. I made us a special breakfast.

August 30: A rare moment where Charlie stops to watch TV. Not surprisingly it's when music was happening.

August 31: Rounding out August (and summer) with some of our favorite friends. Yes, that is Honey I Shrunk The Kids that the boys are watching.

See ya, summer!

It’s been fun and great, but it’s time to move into fall.

About Katie

Just a small town girl...wait no. That is a Journey song. Katie Sluiter is a small town girl, but she is far from living in a lonely world. She is a middle school English teacher, writer, mother, and wife. Life has thrown her a fair share of challenges, but her belief is that writing through them makes her stronger.

Comments

  1. Charlie is like Scrumplet’s twin in behavior and temperament, seriously.
    Also? I made what looked almost exactly as that delicious tray of baked goods you have right there (mine was a blueberry cake with streusel topping).
    Happy back to school!

  2. I never used to be able to pick up the boys from daycare but since we moved, Dan and I are both able to do it together. My favourite part is walking in, waiting for Gavin to see me, and then watching his face light up as he waddle-runs to me with open arms. Best part of my day, always!

  3. I have sooooooo many questions about the Chromebook? Is there really no CD/DVD drive? Can you add any software? Like Microsoft office?

    • nope. no CD/DVD drive. Nope, no software. It’s all internet based so all documents are via google drive (and stored on the cloud). I like how tiny it is, but I’m still working around not having any drive space to store…so no photos can be stored on here either. I have dropbox, but I’m still trying to figure out how to access those for things if I can’t store them on the computer.

  4. Ahhhh…fall. I love the picture of you and Charlie! And the pile up.

  5. Our back-to-school routine happens this week – good luck as you continue to settle into yours.
    Also? Now I want blueberry cake in a bad way. 🙂

  6. What. Is that. Berry breakfast you made? It’s making me hungry for blueberry cobbler/pie/crisp. With ice cream. And whipped cream.

    Happy New School Year!
