It’s about fear

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I have been on a bit of a spiritual journey lately.

I’ve been writing some posts with some Bible verses.  If you follow me on Instagram you have seen my daily journal shot from my #SheReadsTruth devotional.

I feel like I am coming full-circle with my faith, but personally this time…and not just what I was told as a kid.

Today the #SheReadsTruth blog has given me the very humbling opportunity to share one of my testimonies of how God has been working in my life.

I’d be honored if you would come read.

It’s about fear.

About Katie

Just a small town girl...wait no. That is a Journey song. Katie Sluiter is a small town girl, but she is far from living in a lonely world. She is a middle school English teacher, writer, mother, and wife. Life has thrown her a fair share of challenges, but her belief is that writing through them makes her stronger.

  1. Just came over here from you post over at #shereadstruth…amazing. Thank you so much for sharing today. I struggle daily with giving up my fears, anxiety and depression to God. I often think that it won’t help but he is the ultimate healer and has graciously offered to take my burdens and has offered to graciously love me even when I fall over and over again. Isn’t He an amazing heavenly father??

Anyways, thanks again so much for sharing your testimony. It really touched my heart today.

  2. “He took the crappy mess and made me something new. Every time.”
Seriously, thank you. Thank you for this reminder. My heart needed it more than I knew.

  3. God is dealing with me about this very issue, you’re not alone in this struggle. Just last night I sat down with my Bible and some 3×5 cards and wrote down a dozen verses about fear and trust for memorization purposes. Thank you for sharing your story, I will be subscribing to your blog as of today…

  4. I think I might need to take a spiritual journey of my own. I love your #shereadstruth photos and I’m very proud of you for self discovery
