The World Didn’t End…and other highlights of 2012

For the past four years of the 5.5 years that I have been blogging, I have done some sort of year-end wrap up.  Some years I’ve done pictures (so much work) and last year I got all creative with an exit-interview.
(Past Year-In-Review Posts for a Sparknotes-style quick glance at Sluiter Nation: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011)

I’m not going to be so creative this year. At all.  But I’m taking a note from John and using bullet-points, so at least it will be readable.

  • The third trimester of pregnancy in a tiny car in the winter.
  • Blogging friends having babies all over the dang world.

  • I got glasses
  • I took a DSLR class
  • I prayed for someone who was hurting deeply and whom I thought didn’t really know me, only to become very good friends.
  • kidney stones
  • the world didn’t end, but my nephew Jack did turn 8 on Dec 21
  • a new vehicle
  • becoming a family of four
  • Cort graduated
  • weighing less the day I went in to have Charlie than the day I got pregnant with Charlie
  • gaining baby weight after having the baby
  • losing 11 pounds and then finding half of it back again
  • having friends who we can play cards with until 2am and not regret it in the morning.
  • a pregnancy that has me {almost} as excited as I get when I am pregnant.

That’s is.

Well, that’s probably not it.  I probably missed something.

And I left on sort of a weirdly cryptic note.  But ha!  I can!

See ya, 2012.  2011 was right, you were a funny guy.  ::high fives::

I can only hope that 2013 is 2012’s twin in awesome.
