Project 365 {week 38}

Apparently this is the week I abandon my blog.

I just looked and realized I posted twice this week and one was a sponsored post.

Guys? I am sorry.

Time is short lately.

It’s not that I don’t have lots to say.

In fact, as I fall asleep at night, I write entire blog posts that get lost in dreamland.

And forgotten by the morning light.

While I wasn’t blogging, this is what our week looked like…

September 16: The Sickness is out of Sluiter Nation. We celebrate with mac n cheese.

September 17: a new week, a stocked fridge

September 18: bath night…because you can’t have too many pics of a baby with a 7 in his mouth

September 19: I wouldn’t trade this for blogging at all. And I’m not sorry.

September 20: I try to wear real clothes these days since work frowns on jammies for teaching.

September 21: Nude Bird on the loose in Sluiter Nation!

September 22: So this guy is sitting these days.

I miss this blog.

And I WILL find time for it regularly again.

But right now? I am happy.

Even in the crazy that is nonstop GO GO GO.

I calculated that one day this week I was in charge (by myself) of at least one child from 4:45am until 8:30 pm.

Minus the time I drove to work, had lunch, and drove to pick up the boys from daycare.

And while that day ended in a bit of a meltdown on my part,

I can still say…

This is a mighty fine life I have been blessed with.

And I can’t wait to write about it again.

About Katie

Just a small town girl...wait no. That is a Journey song. Katie Sluiter is a small town girl, but she is far from living in a lonely world. She is a middle school English teacher, writer, mother, and wife. Life has thrown her a fair share of challenges, but her belief is that writing through them makes her stronger.

  1. It’s okay to be busy being happy!

  2. I love dimply baby butts! And I’m also a big fan of NOT apologizing for not posting. We all have lives that come before blogging. It’s cool.

  3. Eh, live life first. Otherwise, what’s there to blog about?

Also, love the 7 in the Bird’s mouth. Too cute.

  4. Love your baby. Specially the one of him crawling naked. Looks like you had a good week.

  5. I love you in orange. I really do.
    Was that creepy?
Oh I miss the counter top baths!!

  6. I will forgive your lack of blogging since you post such cute pictures.

Just know, you are missed and come back when you can. 🙂

  7. I do the same thing: I write posts in my head while heading of to dreamland, and then I always forget them the next morning. Ugh!

  8. You’re busy, mama! But I do understand that feeling very well. I miss my blog too.

Oh, and that baby butt is too too cute!

  9. I could never get enough of THAT baby eating sevens! (Or crawling naked butted). I think I posted once last week. I have many, many drafts. Eh. I’ll get to it. Some days just knock me down and last week seemed to have done a doozy. When you find the time, we’ll be here.
