About Katie

Just a small town girl...wait no. That is a Journey song. Katie Sluiter is a small town girl, but she is far from living in a lonely world. She is a middle school English teacher, writer, mother, and wife. Life has thrown her a fair share of challenges, but her belief is that writing through them makes her stronger.

  1. Quiet can be good 🙂 We miss you, but understand.

    • thanks, lady. it has been good for me to just let the blog alone for a few days. i miss it, but it’s been good.

  2. Dude, I love you 🙂

  3. Thank goodness you are my facebook friend or I would really be missing you around this slice of the internet!

    • i am sorry! yes, being facebook friends is a good thing for sure! also? you should check out my new tab at the top of the blog…you inspired it 🙂

  4. We understand you have things to do. You have some very important jobs on your plate as a teacher and mother, and they are both very demanding. Your slice of the internet will be waiting for you whenever it fits into your schedule.

    • i do miss my slice of the internet a LOT. it’s definitely what i would rather be doing most of the time…the times when i am being pulled in a million directions. but it’s been good to leave it for a bit. now i feel better. glad I have such awesome readers 🙂

  5. I love you, etwin!

  6. Quiet can be very good. I never understand why people put so much pressure on themselves to post every day (or multiple times a day). It makes *me* tired! I can’t imagine how they feel!

Anyway, do whatever you need to do – just take care of yourself first!

    • thanks, friend! I find stocking up on the weekend may be the way to go. It’s so much less stress than trying to write something up after a long day at work. Unless I get super inspired? it’s so hard to muster good writing when I am just pooped from the day!
