Friday Flip-offs!

One of my favorite things to read on Friday are all the Friday Flip-offs that are going on out there in the bloggy world.  I keep meaning to link up to Kludgy Mom and do my own flip-offs…I mean, I flip stuff off for real on a daily basis, why wouldn’t I give you guys the complied list? So here it goes….

To this ridiculous humidity…you make me wear a ridiculous “bun” in my hair every day and I sweat just going to the mailbox.  It’s gross.  I’m sick of having perma-swass.  Flip off!

To Nickelodeon…why in the mess is your programming wrong?  The Tivo says, “Dora the Explorer” at 9:00 and 9:30.  Then you play Spongebob instead?  Eddie is fuming.  Flip off.

To itunes…how much of Cort’s time are you going to suck?  Why can’t you just nicely keep all one million hours of our music on our machines?  All I want is to create a new work out mix for my shuffle.  You suck so hard.  Flip off times a million.

To the never ending pile of dishes in my sink.  How are you possible?  We run the dishwasher almost once a day?  Why are we STILL washing dishes by hand too?  One constant, never-ending flip off.

And finally, I can’t end this post without flipping off PPD.  You are annoying and stupid and a thief.  While I am getting a handle on you, you are pissing me off by making my friends sad, depressed, and angry.  You bring pain and hurt to good, beautiful people.  And for that I not just flip you off, but I give you a good, hard kick in your behind too.

So that is all…for this week, anyway.  Want more flip off’s?  Or possibly to enter your own?  Hit up the blog-hop below…

Oh, and have a super, flip-off free weekend!

About Katie

Just a small town girl...wait no. That is a Journey song. Katie Sluiter is a small town girl, but she is far from living in a lonely world. She is a middle school English teacher, writer, mother, and wife. Life has thrown her a fair share of challenges, but her belief is that writing through them makes her stronger.

  1. I'd like to second the flip off for the humidity!!

  2. Isn't flipping stuff off awesome?! Makes you feel great huh?!

Well, I also flipped off humidity and depression…so we have those flip offs in common. I'd like to throw in a flip off to Nickalodeon too for the same reason. If Max and Ruby don't happen here, we've got problems!

  3. The Sharp's says

I would like to flip off humidity as well. I love that picture of you all on the header. Such a cute little man! Have a great weekend.

  4. Pumpkin and Piglet says

Yay! You joined in! I love Friday Flip Off's, it's a lot of fun. Completely understand the dishes, it doesn't seem to matter how many times I wash up there's always more!

  5. Mommy adds a big DITTO to flipping off humidity! It should not feel like we are swimming when we are not in the pool.

  6. Hey girl, so glad you joined the flipfest this week! I totally understand Itunes. it sucks. It has lost several of my purchased songs that I bought at 99 cents. Now I have to rebuy them for $1.29. flip off!

and when the wrong program records in our house…there is hell to pay 🙂 thankfully our kids are over dora and into spongebob and spongebob is on like 24/7.

  7. songs are .09 each. Yes, that's 9 cents, and perfectly legal. Flip off itunes. I have other stuff to flip off, but Katie is probably sick of hearing it already.

  8. I love the flip-offs, and as soon as I start back to school, I will, no doubt, have some flip-offs of my own.

And the humidity thing? I feel you. My hair has been in a bun since April and will stay that way until October.

  9. Mungee's Ma says

My hair is always in a bun or a ponytail. People probably wouldn't recognize me if I wore it down.

  10. YAY for joining the flip offs! Awesome flips, girl. Btw, I feel you on the humidity…here it's around 90% even when it rains everyday now. When I'm at home I always always clip my hair up, it drives Lil' A crazy he keeps telling me to let my hair down. Hope you guys will have a great weekend.

i, too, struggled w/ ppd. thank GOD for happy pills.

not to mention, humidity mixed in? our AC was out during a week of 90+ temps, and rain. My furniture was sweating. No fun!
hope you had a good weekend 🙂
