I’m Over There ———–>

Hey everyone!  I’m being featured again!  This time on a series called Tales from the Crib by Dawana at A Bittersweet Existence.  She is doing a whole series on the hard parts of mommyhood.  She asked if I would share about my miscarriages and I said YES!

I haven’t really gone into much detail here on the old blog about those times in our life, just that they happened.  So if you would like to know more, you should head over to A Bittersweet Existence.  Well, you should head over there anyway because Dawana is that cool.

So go already! Then report back what you think!

About Katie

Just a small town girl...wait no. That is a Journey song. Katie Sluiter is a small town girl, but she is far from living in a lonely world. She is a middle school English teacher, writer, mother, and wife. Life has thrown her a fair share of challenges, but her belief is that writing through them makes her stronger.

  1. Wow. Wow. Wow. Thank you so much for your honesty! I have never experienced a miscarriage and I realize how clueless I was/am as to what it entails. Thank you for turning on the light for me…
I'm so sorry for what you went through. I can't even imagine the pain.

I'm so glad you are going to see a therapist soon, it will be so so so good!

    Kisses to Eddie!

Awesome story Katie! It is interesting to hear about the different types of crosses that people have to bear in life; some choose to talk about them and some unfortunately do not…it's good to get it out.

  3. Following from blog flow.

Very brave of you to share your miscarriages with the world. Good for you. Off to read more about it…

  4. Hugs to you and your family. After experiencing a loss, it makes you that much more appreciative for your little one (I know from experience).

I left a comment on your guest blog spot too. Great post! Thanks for sharing.

  5. Oh wow Katie – that was so intense and so well written….I appreciate your candor and your ability to share with us what you went through. Hugs!

  6. You. Are. Awesome! 🙂

  7. Miscarriages are so very difficult and really not understood or supported in our culture the way they should be. Thank you for bringing more light to this subject.
