SWING! Weeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

My parents have a swing set in the backyard that my dad built when my brothers and I were kids. The old swings rusted off their chains a few years ago, and when my nephew, Jack, started coming around when he was about two years old, my dad bought this blue swing. Jack LOVED this swing more than almost anything in the world.

Jack is now five and half, and getting too big for the little blue swing, but Eddie is just the right size and today we tried it out. He wasn’t too sure about it at first. Then he gave it a good taste. Apparently it met his standards of what “fun” tastes liked because he started to enjoy himself when Grandma started pushing him.
Although he still held on pretty dang tight to the ropes, we got a few smiles out of him while he went to and fro.
Woe! Sometimes mommy pushes hard! Hold on, little buddy!
He started having so much fun that he didn’t want to get out. Yes, that is the effect of the swing.

Back and forth….back and forth…
and far!

I see lots of swinging this spring and summer in this guy’s future!
