Project 365 {week 24}

The second week of summer break was long.

We still haven’t figured out the right routine for us and there were a few break-downs.

Both by children and adults.

But we tried to find a happy spot in each day.

June 9: Reading the Sunday ads in the only place his brother can't bother him.

June 15: Meeting the new guy.

June 15: Meeting the new guy.

Even though we are still trying to figure stuff out, we managed to have fun.

We had a playdate with fun neighbors,

made lemon cookies and homemade ice cream,

we held a new baby and played with old friends,

we read books,

we played cards and ate part of a 5-pound Hershey bar,

and we laughed a lot.

So even though patience was lost and frustrations festered,

it was a good week.

Project 365 {week 23}

This was my first week off school for the summer.

For some stupid reason I looked at the calendar and actually said to myself,

“Holy crap…the summer’s almost over!”

Because I saw how much was on the calendar.

The summer is NOT almost over.

It’s just beginning…

June 2: The little man helps me water the flowers.

June 3: My first day off, but the boys are still in daycare. Why is it sweater weather...in JUNE?

June 7: I might love summer.

*June 7: I might love summer. And so do the little guys.

June 8: The fence! After 8.5 years in this house we are FINALLY putting up the fence. Good fences = good neighbors right?

*I actually busted out my DSLR camera for this one. I plan to have it out more often.

Yay summer!

Project 365 {week 17}

Spring showed up this week!

You know, after SNOWING on Thursday morning.

And the shenanigans that is raising two little boys continued…

April 21: How does this kid get SO grubby when he eats?

April 27: The most perfect Saturday in the history of ever. Temp in the high 60's with a slight breeze, playing outside, then out to dinner for my parents' anniversary. Perfection in a day.

This week has been unbelievably awesome.

Aside from these weirdo hives I suddenly have that we have no idea where they came from.

But otherwise? We have had so much fun and felt so good this week.

Five more weeks of school until this becomes routine!

Project 365: Week 5

The fifth week of 2012 was a much slower one for us.

Which was so very needed.

Lots of time together.

Productivity in getting Eddie’s Big Boy room further along, having Eddie poo and pee on the potty, and just being together.

I moved slower this week…as I probably will for the next five weeks.

Here was our week…

January 29: Lazy Sunday at home just catching up on the news

January 30: One of our fave "quick meals": pizza sandwiches and fries

January 31: I hit the 33 week mark. Only six more weeks til Charlie!

February 1: Eddie and Mommy night = cupcakes for dessert

February 2: Trains with daddy

February 3: censored to protect the innocent

February 4: Eddie and I made these for our "family playdate" with some pretty awesome friends.

This week definitely had it’s giggle moments.

And it’s yummy moments.

How was your week?

Project 356: January 15-21, 2012

This was a hard week on all of us.

Cort’s Grandpa died.

Eddie got sick.

No one slept very well.

But we still tried very hard to find something to smile about almost every day.

January 15: Eddie perfects the "Llama Face". If you have read the Llama Llama books, you know this look.

January 16: Thank goodness it's "Ash-ee Day" or as Cort and I call it "let's hope Ashley doesn't judge us too harshly when she cleans Day"

January 17: I realize Eddie has a LOT of books. Can't wait to organized these in his new Big Boy Room.

January 18: Our week gets rough. Funeral for Grandpa Potter and Eddie get sick. This is how he asked to sleep that night.

January 19: On our quest to "back up" the boy. He shows off his "binding" dinner.

January 20: It finally starts to LOOK like a Michigan Winter. And brrrr....14 degrees!

January 21: Eddie "plays" with his baby brother. "yook, mommy! He is moooving them!"

What did you smile about this week?
