Project 365 {week 52}

We made it through the last full week of 2013!

In a flurry of wrapping paper, treats, family, and friends, that is.

There are only three days left in the year.

We have no plans for New Year’s.

We have no plans to stay up late.

We are just going to enjoy the next week of break from school.

And look forward to all the joy and possibility in 2014.

Project 365 {week 32}

This is the time of year when we realize our long days of summer are limited.

And we try to cram in all the things summer,

yet at the same time prepare for all the things fall.

August 4: Bath time is also rock n roll time.

August 10: Another outside day for me to sit under the tree while all the boys work and play.

And now we move into the last full week home before school starts.

Next week we will be on vacation for the bulk of the week, and the week after I am back to work.

Our summer is so close to vanishing.

And I am kind of sad about that.

Project 365 {week 26}

This week started with Eddie’s birthday, and really, lots of the week focused on him.

It’s beginning to be very clear that as a daycare kid, he is used to constant stimulation.

His baby brother and I fall short of his expectations for “fun” lots of the time.

I’ll write about that more later.

Here are the joys from the week…

June 23: Eddie is Four!

June 24: Busting out the new toys.

June 24: Busting out the new toys…first Legos.

June 25: The elusive hubby snuggle. It was probably interrupted after 10 seconds by a little boy.

June 26: Wednesdays are Farmer's Market Days. Today we saw the animals from the Critter Barn.

And don’t forget Google Reader is going away TONIGHT.  If you are reading this in Google reader and want to keep reading Sluiter Nation (I hope you do!), head up there  in my sidebar to where it says FOLLOW THE NATION and choose something new.

And for any of you who love Thirty-One bags…I am having a facebook party and YOU ARE ALL INVITED! It’s just like a home party in that you can win prizes and stuff, but like a catalog party, you don’t have to actually leave your house. This is the link to the event; hope to see you there TOMORROW!

Project 365 {week 49}

Dudes.

Week 49.

Only three weeks left in 2012.

O_O

December 2: Someone earned a little screen time.

December 3: The biggest Pinterest WIN yet.

December 4: My water baby

December 5: I am blown away by the kindness of the people in my computer. Someone sent me this anonymously for my devotions.

December 6: This is what determination looks like. Home Slice learned to crawl as soon as the tree was put up.

December 7: My mug from #mugswap12 is here! Yay!

December 8: Celebrating December birthdays and decorating Christmas cookies with my side of the family.

Three weeks left in this year.

Three CRAZY weeks full of family, baking, presents, and celebrations.

And I’ll lay it all out here for you.

Get excited.

We are!

Project 365 {week 43}

I didn’t go to the ER this week..so…WIN!

I did have horrible pain again on Friday.

You win some, you lose some, I guess.

But I would say this week was mostly a win.

October 21: We bust out the nubby and introduce Charlie to melon. Apparently once you go melon, you don’t go back.

October 22: Charlie wears different clothes home from daycare than what he wore to daycare. This is quite typical, actually.

October 23: new car seat for Eddie! Woot!

October 24: A little outside play before the weather turns brrrrr!

October 25: Turkey with the leaves he picked up yesterday (also? no pants because he decided he was done with diapers. YAY!)

October 26: My kidney tries to cripple me again, but I push through my day AND still do errands.

October 27a: Pumpkin patch day. Eddie didn’t want to be in a picture and Charlie seems mad about it.

October 27b: Pumpkin Patch Day. Eddie wants his own picture, by himself. Also? Home Slice is VERY pokey and slow about picking his pumpkin.

Like I said, the week was so full of win, it was hard to dwell on my Evil Kidney.

Which is what I call it now. Evil Kidney.

It’s screwed with me four times now.

four.

Weekly this whole month.

Stupid Evil Kidney.

But awesome family stuff.  aw yeah. Take that, Evil Kidney.

Project 365 {week 42}

This week flew by.

In fact, I missed most of this week.

But I managed to scrounge up some pictures anyway.

October 14: A day late, but the Bird is 7 months old.

October 15: ER trip for my kidney stones.

October 16: Still feeling like crap.

October 17: Still off work. Chugging water, hoping for the stone to pass.

October 18: I’m all better! And look! Two boys in a tub!

October 19: making me giggle on the daily.

October 20: I host a Graco event at Babies R Us and give away TWO of these bad boys! {BRU gift card giveaway coming soon to this blog! Woot!}

Thursday I went to the doctor and she reviewed my CAT scan I got in the ER.

Doesn’t appear to be anymore stones on deck in there, but I am increasing my water consumption anyway.

I do NOT want to go through THAT ever again.

Ever.

Did I mention ever?

Sheesh.

Project 365 {week 39}

Do I ever write these posts and say, “eh, nothing much happened this week”?

No. I never do.

And trust me, there is a whole post devoted to that cray fumbling in my head.

But until it comes out of my head and flows through my fingers?

You just get to see what it’s like…one picture a day…

September 23: So this is happening now. ::sniff sniff::

September 24: Mom getting (and passing) a kidney stone means cereal for dinner.

September 25: Eddie says this is my pirate outfit. Funny.

September 26: This boy melts me with those eyes on the daily.

September 27: And this guy loves to make faces for the camera. This one? scared!

September 28: I SWEAR I will take a pic of Jen next time and NOT what I was drinking. ahem.

September 29: Weddings are our favorite date because we can shake our booties!

I feel like I should say that I am exhausted and whatever, but this week rocked.

I had my boys, I had girls night with a beautiful friend, and I had a night away with my hubs and friends.

Plus I took a two hour nap on Sunday, so there’s that.

Yes, I wish things would slow down a bit.

But, man, I am enjoying the ride.

As crazy as it is.

Project 365 {week 32}

I refuse to look at the calendar and see my time home with the boys vanishing.

So let’s just look at the past week, shall we?

August 5: enjoying some cheesecake ice cream

August 6: waiting for therapy. sigh.

August 7: this is what bath night looks like. CUTE.

August 8: after dinner treats on the deck.

August 9: trapped under sleeping baby with full bladder. Yikes!

August 10: typical afternoon while Eddie naps.

August 11: Flying Yoga!

This week was filled with awesome things that made me smile.

Which I needed.

Thank you.

*************

In case you missed it this week, I wrote about how I chose to formula feed my kids over at Borderless News and Views.

Project 365 {week 28}

This week was hot.

That is the only way to say it.

July 8: Gender Reveal party for our nephew or niece…can you tell what our guess was?

July 9: after dinner cool down

July 10: Both boys nap at the same time, so I get to do this.

July 11: cake pop after a fun playdate with bloggy friends.

*July 12: new obsession…feet!

July 13: picture day for the boys! (Charlie 4 months, Eddie 3 years)

July 14: HUGE pool party for a friend’s birthday = exhausted little swimmer.

This heat wave doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere, so we will be trying to stay cool again this week.

I mean, when the weather dudes tell you 87 is “pleasant”, you know it’s been hot.

I might be nervous about our cottage “vacation” next week…no AC.

Save me.

**************

Oh…wait…look at these previews I got of our photoshoot with mL photography

ACK!  SO CUTE!

Project 365 {week 26}

Did I just type “Week 26”?

Dang.  That is halfway through the year.

HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?

I mean really.  Wasn’t I just starting this little weekly post?

Sigh.

Time moves too fast.  As cliche as it is, it is so true.

So. The week that was…

June 24: Eddie’s Birthday Party Day

June 25: This kid is working on his rolling. Soon. SOON.

June 26: a 3 month old and a 3 year old

June 27: See? SO CLOSE!

June 28: According to Eddie?  These are our Train Hats

June 29: Mini Beach Day turns into Mini Pool Day.

June 30: at the annual Pig Roast in memory of Cort’s dad with a bestie.

And that takes us to the end of June…

and into the second half of 2012.

Whew.
