We spent four of these seven days on a beach, I call that a WIN.

I’ll have a full post on our vacation tomorrow.

Later this week I’ll also tell you how during what should have been the most relaxing part of my summer, I tripped and fell into a bit o depression.

And if you missed it, I have a post about Boudreax’s Butt Paste…there is a sweepstakes going on there, so you should enter!

During this time of year, life has a tendency to feel like we are racing so fast we may start to tumble all over ourselves…

but it’s the kind of too fast and tumbling that you giggle through because the “end” is so close.

Happy Mother’s Day.

Project 365 {week 6}

I am not entirely sure there were 7 days in this past week.

It’s all sort of a blur.

I felt like we were going, going, going all week.

Not in a bad way, just in a busy way.

The way that you forget to take pictures because it’s just…busy.

Speaking of busy…don’t forget about my Bona Clara party/giveaway/fundraiser going on NOW. Please consider purchasing. Proceeds go to the United Way to help victims of the Sandy Hook shooting.  The giveaway is no purchase necessary!

I’ll give you those pics later.

This week I will also wrap up our Christmas and do a couple posts.

Then on the 7th? New look ’round these parts.

YAY!

Project 365 {week 49}

Dudes.

Week 49.

Only three weeks left in 2012.

O_O

December 2: Someone earned a little screen time.

December 3: The biggest Pinterest WIN yet.

December 4: My water baby

December 5: I am blown away by the kindness of the people in my computer. Someone sent me this anonymously for my devotions.

December 6: This is what determination looks like. Home Slice learned to crawl as soon as the tree was put up.

December 7: My mug from #mugswap12 is here! Yay!

December 8: Celebrating December birthdays and decorating Christmas cookies with my side of the family.

Three weeks left in this year.

Three CRAZY weeks full of family, baking, presents, and celebrations.

And I’ll lay it all out here for you.

Get excited.

We are!

Project 365 {week 46}

I feel like a broken record.

The week was long.

We did too much.

We didn’t get enough done.

At least when we got to the end of this week, Cort was/is on break from class for a week,
and I only have 2 work weeks coming up before Thanksgiving.

Nice.

November 11: I get to see my sweet niece again. Hey, she’s got my nose!

November 12: I have a case of the Mondays.

November 13: This flirt is 8 months old today.

November 14: Charlie mauls…I mean hugs…Eddie for like 15 minutes. Until Eddie declares, “I am done with hugs right now.”

November 15: Long day with Parent/Teacher Conferences…don’t get to eat until after the boys are in bed. So…nachos.

November 16: View out of my classroom window {at the high school}. Also known as The Reason I Bought a SAD Lamp this Weekend.

November 17: Despite the adamant-looking attitude, he really did love his first try at picking up and eating various melons.

In case you missed it this week…

I wrote this letter to President Obama.

I also wrote this about using social media in the classroom.

I’ve also joined BabyHuddle, a new to the US social online shop. It’s awesome.

And lastly, I have a giveaway that is open until midnight tonight for $50 to Tiny Prints.

Whew.

Happy Sunday.

Project 365 {week 45}

This week was fraught with stress and anxiety.

But it ended with relaxation and a much needed SLOWED down day.

November 4: I get to meet my very first niece, Maria Mae, who was born at home, med-free in about 20 seconds.

November 5: Oh daylight’s savings…this is now what 5pm looks like.

November 6: Four more years. Boom.

November 7: parent teacher conferences…my attempt to not look like a sloppy, stress-out teacher.

November 8: It’s blurry because he found his jumping legs…oh that smile.

November 9: This is what the 20 minutes before bedtime looks like.

November 11: Cort gives me a Saturday and I get to sit in Starbucks and write…with no interruptions. boom.

With grades due, parent teacher conferences looming, a late night staying up to see the election results…

well…

the start of the week had me wanting to crawl into bed and hide for the week.

But by the end,

After some lovely chats with students’ parents, great teamwork with co-workers, the understanding of the best husband in the world, and a couple hours with one of my best friends in the world,

I ended the week with a smile on my face,

and a renewed energy for the upcoming week.

Project 365 {week 43}

I didn’t go to the ER this week..so…WIN!

I did have horrible pain again on Friday.

You win some, you lose some, I guess.

But I would say this week was mostly a win.

October 21: We bust out the nubby and introduce Charlie to melon. Apparently once you go melon, you don’t go back.

October 22: Charlie wears different clothes home from daycare than what he wore to daycare. This is quite typical, actually.

October 23: new car seat for Eddie! Woot!

October 24: A little outside play before the weather turns brrrrr!

October 25: Turkey with the leaves he picked up yesterday (also? no pants because he decided he was done with diapers. YAY!)

October 26: My kidney tries to cripple me again, but I push through my day AND still do errands.

October 27a: Pumpkin patch day. Eddie didn’t want to be in a picture and Charlie seems mad about it.

October 27b: Pumpkin Patch Day. Eddie wants his own picture, by himself. Also? Home Slice is VERY pokey and slow about picking his pumpkin.

Like I said, the week was so full of win, it was hard to dwell on my Evil Kidney.

Which is what I call it now. Evil Kidney.

It’s screwed with me four times now.

four.

Weekly this whole month.

Stupid Evil Kidney.

But awesome family stuff.  aw yeah. Take that, Evil Kidney.
