Project 365 {week 17}

Spring showed up this week!

You know, after SNOWING on Thursday morning.

And the shenanigans that is raising two little boys continued…

April 21: How does this kid get SO grubby when he eats?

April 22: Finishing off his meds for his ear infection. Kid takes meds well...almost TOO well. ::side eye::

April 27: The most perfect Saturday in the history of ever. Temp in the high 60's with a slight breeze, playing outside, then out to dinner for my parents' anniversary. Perfection in a day.

This week has been unbelievably awesome.

Aside from these weirdo hives I suddenly have that we have no idea where they came from.

But otherwise? We have had so much fun and felt so good this week.

Five more weeks of school until this becomes routine!

Project 365 {week 45}

This week was fraught with stress and anxiety.

But it ended with relaxation and a much needed SLOWED down day.

November 4: I get to meet my very first niece, Maria Mae, who was born at home, med-free in about 20 seconds.

November 5: Oh daylight’s savings…this is now what 5pm looks like.

November 6: Four more years. Boom.

November 7: parent teacher conferences…my attempt to not look like a sloppy, stress-out teacher.

November 8: It’s blurry because he found his jumping legs…oh that smile.

November 9: This is what the 20 minutes before bedtime looks like.

November 11: Cort gives me a Saturday and I get to sit in Starbucks and write…with no interruptions. boom.

With grades due, parent teacher conferences looming, a late night staying up to see the election results…

well…

the start of the week had me wanting to crawl into bed and hide for the week.

But by the end,

After some lovely chats with students’ parents, great teamwork with co-workers, the understanding of the best husband in the world, and a couple hours with one of my best friends in the world,

I ended the week with a smile on my face,

and a renewed energy for the upcoming week.

Project 365 {week 40}

WEEK 40?!?!

ZOINKS!

This means there are only 12 more weeks left in 2012. Yeah. I know.

WHAT?

September 30: when did he turn 12? Seriously.

October 1: My first Students of the Month board is “live”. Not bad for my first time.

October 2: Sums up the day: sweet with a side of annoyance.

October 3: First time bathing together. They loved it.

October 4: Brothers playing together

October 5: My boys come to my school for the homecoming football game.

October 6: Baby shower for my sister-in-law Sarah and her baby girl, Maria

Somewhere in this week I also broke down.

And as usual, my boys put those pieces together with school glue and glitter and hugs and kisses.

And then this supposed kidney stone pain showed back up this weekend.

I have doubts about this “guess” of a diagnosis, so I will probably be calling my doc on Monday.

Just because I like some medical reassurance rather than guesses.

So we move on to the next week.

And hope for good things and good news.

Project 356 {Week 15}

So I read this post this week by Casey about using your DSLR.

You can tell around when I read it because my pics get, um, creative.

For full disclosure, I will say that I have a Canon Rebel XS  that I got 2 years ago for my birthday.

Usually I shoot in P and don’t mess with adjusting anything.

Because I have the scared.

Lately I have been shooting in AV and messing with the Fstop.

After reading Casey’s post, I busted out my 50mm lens and started playing with the ISO too.

Don’t judge…I still don’t know what I am doing.

Oh, and I don’t edit anything.  Because I don’t have any software and I don’t know how.

So these are straight off the card, yo.

April 8: Easter Sunday

April 9: My cousin's son, Thatcher, and Charlie. Born less than 2 weeks apart.

*April 10: Snow.

*April 11: tummy time is hard, yo.

*April 12: My morning view

*April 13: Busytown Mysteries before bed.

*April 14: Goodnight, Moon.

Monday I am hoping to sign up for a four-evening class on using my DSLR.

It only took me two years to look into doing.

And a kick in the pants by a couple blog posts this week by Casey and Kacia.
