Project 365 {week 17}

Oh friends.

Senioritis is in full swing in my classes, but I am battling it.

To be honest, I am getting a mix of end of the year anxiety and wistfulness.

April 20: Easter Sunday = an egg hunt at Granny's house!

April 21: My final book came for my final class I need to have my Masters + 30. That means I can FINALLY get a pay bump in the fall! (although I will say I am annoyed by the cover of this book already)

April 22: Someone loves the boots his Granny bought him for Easter

April 25: The picture Cort sent me while I was at Target, just two days after I asked for some book donations. The internet, man. It makes me feel a lot of feelings.

April 26: After two birthday parties and tons of sugar and outdoor play, bath time was the straw that broke the camel's back. He is whipped!

Yes, it’s that time of year.

So much to do, so little time.

A bit crazy, but a lot fun.

This week I started a drive for books for my classroom. I created a wish list on amazon (Classroom Library Wishes), but I would also love gently used books if you are looking to get rid of them. Email me at sluiternation @ gmail.com for my shipping address.

  2. Hmmm…..about the cover of that book –

    WHY is the boy doing something sciency and the girl is writing?
    Argh.

    Way to reinforce stereotypes, publishers!!!

    But on a happier book note, I have just learned from Facebook about the accumulation of books for your classroom. This makes my heart sing and my eyes tear up.

    What an amazing teacher you are and what an amazing friend to have inspired such generosity.
