Project 365 {week 1}

And we are back at ONE again.

Of course, this is that silly week that is sort of 52.5 and .5 at the same time, right?

I mean, it’s not a full week in either 2013 or 2014.

2013 ended with snowy, cold weather and 2014 started with snowy-er, colder weather.

I ended the year loving this time off work.

I am starting the new year ready to go back.

Long breaks that keep us trapped in the house due to weather are not my thing, yo.

December 29: We spent the whole day doing nothing because Cort felt like garbage and it was cold out.

December 30: All is calm. Christmas has been put away, homes have been found for the toys (most of them), and we have our house back.

December 31: With no plans to go out, Cort and I battle over the world until we go to bed before midnight.

January 1: We start the year by not getting out of our pajamas and by making cookies. WIN.

January 2: A boy and his Truck

January 3: Our last afternoon together of Christmas break. We are cuddled up watching the Little Mermaid for the zillionth time.

January 4: We gather with the Sluiter side for a reunion/retreat for the weekend.

We started Christmas break a day early due to a snow day,

and if my fears are correct, we may have it extended because of one too (winter storm warning AND wind chill warnings).

Sigh.

I’m ready to go back.

Ready for our “normal” routine again.

Ready to get this year started already instead of just watching snow blow outside my window.

  1. Well, I do hope you’ll enjoy this extra day off and will be able to go back on Tuesday. As much as I love break and being home with the family I’m ready for a routine again as well. Just wish it didn’t start so dang early! :)
