The second week of summer break was long.
We still haven’t figured out the right routine for us and there were a few break-downs.
Both by children and adults.
But we tried to find a happy spot in each day.

June 9: Reading the Sunday ads in the only place his brother can’t bother him.

June 10: sweet little moments on bath night.

June 11: some time to read during nap.

June 12: Play Doh on yet another rainy day.

June 13: Getting out of the house and being good for errands = donut reward.

June 14: The boys make me a lunch of wieners.

June 15: Meeting the new guy.
Even though we are still trying to figure stuff out, we managed to have fun.
We had a playdate with fun neighbors,
made lemon cookies and homemade ice cream,
we held a new baby and played with old friends,
we read books,
we played cards and ate part of a 5-pound Hershey bar,
and we laughed a lot.
So even though patience was lost and frustrations festered,
it was a good week.
Why, oh why would any play food set have that many wieners??? That seriously cracked me up!! 🙂
listen, that wasn’t even ALL the wieners. It’s a total wiener party up in here.
Wiener lunch made me laugh!
And nekkid toddler with cleverly (? or !) placed ladle – love.
Have a great week ahead!
Wiener lunch was totally ridiculous. We had even MORE wieners than that. I had to stop Eddie at 8 claiming I could not possible ingest that many wieners–pretend or not!
And yes, the nudey buns running to give daddy a kiss while wielding a random ladle? So cute.
At least your lunch looks a little healthier than the “lunches” my kids have brought me.
I love donut shop donuts… they’re so delicious! Much better than the ones from the big stores.
As long as it was good in the end, it’s all worth it 🙂
The kids like to bring us plastic lunch all the time too, but I think we’ve lost most of our wieners.
