  1. Oh I love this and I so want to pinch this idea!! What a lovely way to record the day 🙂 And yes, I love the new design. I need a spring clean on my blog too I think!

    xx

  2. the sounds of LOVE, CARE, FRIENDSHIP and FAMILY.
    Love everything about this, Kate.
WOW, that header is just glorious.

    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it.

  3. I love this, Katie!
I giggled at Mrs Sluiter for some reason. I know you are Mrs Sluiter, but I never think about you being called that 🙂

    • Cort thought it was so funny when we were first together to hear me called that too (and before that by Miss and then my maiden name). And friends who are with me when a student sees me in public always giggle when they hear me called “Mrs. Sluiter” too 🙂

  4. I love the new design. It is very pretty and calming.

  5. Love the new look!! 🙂

  6. Love the new header! Very very awesome, my friend.

And I loved this post… what a day.

  7. Love the rhythm of this!

  8. The new design is gorgeous and I love the header. I can picture all of this happening and see lil man saying delicious in his wonderful way of speaking. That is my favorite part, their learning to talk like big people and the way they pronounce words.

    • Thanks, you! The communication development of my kids is the most surprisingly exciting part of being a mom. I could listen to them both all day!

  9. I love the new design! It’s gorgeous. (Even though I’m so lazy I oh-so would love to not have to scroll back up to the top to make comments. But that’s just my lazy scrolling finger.) And you did such an amazing job portraying your day through sounds.

    • Wait. scroll back to the top to comment? What is going on here? And thank you! 🙂

      • Like, if I’m not on the specific posts page, if I’m just on your homepage, then I read the post but there’s no comment button at the bottom, so I have to scroll back up to the top of the post and click where it says number of comments to add mine. Which isn’t a big deal, it’s relatively common, so I never spend a long time looking, I just know to scroll back up. I’ve just always thought it seemed weird, and like it was encouraging people to comment before reading. Which I’m nowhere near clever enough to do.

        • huh. that is sort of weird. I think I must click on a lot of posts rather than homepages because I never noticed. But now I notice it on mine. It is totally weird to not have it at the END of the post.

  10. I love the idea of recording your daily sounds! And your new design? Amazing!!

    • Oh my! now I am blushing! A blog designer complimenting my blog design! Courtney did a fab job though…she always does 🙂

  11. I love this post idea, and I love the new look! That header is adorable.

  12. Love this post and colour scheme. Your legs look funny though.

  13. This is great. May I pinch, as well?? 🙂
Also, I’m loving the new blog look & layout!!

    • Yes! Please do! I thought of it one morning when I was lying in bed and could hear Cort with the boys. Those little voices…I never want to forget them. Even when the are big and gruff and manly 🙂
