Project 365 {week 23}

This week my maternity leave was officially over.

You would think I wouldn’t notice since it was also the start of summer break.

But I was at work four of the seven days this week.

The theme this week?  Pack it, move it out.

The DSLR? Was no where to be found in this madness of a week.

June 3: Cort helps me take down my classroom

June 4: This guy comes to help me pack up my desk and closet.

June 5: This is what bath night looks like. Squeaky Clean!

June 6: first work meeting since going on maternity leave. From 8-4. I am thrilled.

June 7: The last glimpse of room 167.

June 9: Let the potty training begin.

We are on Day 3 of Potty Training as you read this.

I may not survive.

About Katie

Just a small town girl...wait no. That is a Journey song. Katie Sluiter is a small town girl, but she is far from living in a lonely world. She is a middle school English teacher, writer, mother, and wife. Life has thrown her a fair share of challenges, but her belief is that writing through them makes her stronger.

  1. Good luck with the potty training!!

  2. Looks like you had a busy week. It’s got to be the worst when you have to pack up a whole classroom. I helped a few teachers at the kids’ old school move from one room to another and it was not fun!!! So much fun running through sprinklers!!! 🙂

    • actually packing up the classroom wasn’t too bad. I switched rooms 2 years ago and purged A TON, so this purge was less dramatic and MUCH easier to pack up. And I am sort of excited to set up a new classroom. Because I am weird like that 🙂

  3. TheNextMartha says

Now I need a nap! wow.

  4. A potty chart! I like that idea. I think you deserve a nap, girlfriend.

    • I totally just made that thing up because Eddie loves stickers. There are probably many, many potty charts if you go on pinterest that rock. Mine? Is a quick “something” to throw up on the fridge so the boy has a visual 🙂

  5. Man what a week!! Good luck with the potty training. Potty training boys is a BEAST of a task!!

    • yeah, the potty training is probably what will kill me in this parenting thing. It’s a battle I just don’t want to fight. Sigh.
