Bloggers Who Make Me Go BOOM! {17}

If this week is any indication as to what my whole summer is going to look like, I don’t know if I will ever read anything–on the internet or otherwise–ever again.

Sheesh.  Three days of work, one quiet day with Charlie, and a crazy day with both boys.

I’m lucky the laundry got done.

When I do get a chance to peak at blogs, here are five more that I always catch up on.  No matter what.

1. Stepping Stones. This is my lovely sister-in-law, MacKenzie‘s blog. She hasn’t posted since May.  I am guessing this has something to do with twin one-year olds and having to go back to teaching for the last 10 weeks of school. But when she does post?  She brings the awesome.  And I am not just saying that because we are related.

2. Tasty Buttered Toast. This one is authored by another person I am related to, my husband, Cortney. Yup, he has his own blog.  He also hardly ever posts, but I love his words because they are his.  And he is mine. And I love his perspective on our life.

3. In Pursuit of it All. Lori is ANOTHER blogger who has posted that she is done, but I can’t remove from my reader. I miss her hilarious posts, her awesome artistic talents using a stylus, her poignant posts about motherhood, womanhood, wifehood, and friendhood.  Like an exhausted, barfy, depressed pregnancy mess that I was last August, I chose to lie down in my room rather than see her read her BlogHer Voice of the Year post.  And now she isn’t blogging. And now I have to go pour one out for her blog…and hope she resurrects it some day.

4. by any other name. Oh Julie. She is my literature soul sister.  Not only do her words absolutely make me feel the feelings…all of them…but she reminds me of why I majored in English and went into teaching.  Because literature and reading and writing make my heart sing.  And her words?  Are literature.

5. #SheReadsTruth. The amazing team of Kacia, Maggie, Jessi, and Raechel created a blog that is a way  to read the Bible together.  It started as Kacia and Maggie wanting to read together to be accountable.  Now it’s a community.  And I am loving it.

So there you go…

Five more lovely blogs to go check out.

And stalk.

Wait.  what?

About Katie

Just a small town girl...wait no. That is a Journey song. Katie Sluiter is a small town girl, but she is far from living in a lonely world. She is a middle school English teacher, writer, mother, and wife. Life has thrown her a fair share of challenges, but her belief is that writing through them makes her stronger.

  1. Cant wait to check them all out! 🙂

  2. Oh boy… with legions of SluiterNation followers potentially headed to my blog, I probably should post something… AND SOON!

  3. Oh my goodness, Katie! That is possibly the nicest compliment anyone has ever paid me. No. It definitely is the nicest. Thank you so much for featuring me here today. And for calling my words literature? Thank you always.

  4. Another great list!
