Project 365: January 1-7, 2012

As I mentioned earlier this week, I am doing Project 365.  Each Sunday I will post my Week in Pictures.  Enjoy.

January 1: PEEP POMB!!!

January 2: Finally enough snow to sled! Of course it only lasted 2 days. Weirdest Michigan winter EVER.

January 3: Back to work after 2 weeks off. And I am a working MACHINE! Got almost all my hardcopies printed for my sub...with 9 weeks to spare!

January 4: Eddie demolishes the last of the chocolate cake. Like mother like son.

January 5: We FINALLY get a wall calendar for 2012 when our MomAgenda Wall Calendar arrives. Who knew we would feel so lost for only five days?

January 6: Apple Lips!

January 7: Eddie takes off his pants and diaper and tells me he wants to poop on the toilet. So here he sits. After 3 minutes he says he's done (no poop), so we get him dressed. Less than minute later he poops in his diaper. I still say this was a good step.

So back to work, dinner time shenanigans, and almost poop in the potty.  A good week, I would say!

  1. Ah, I love these photos so much! Eddie is such a little peach. My 2 yo is total doing the poop fake out, too! Is this a good sign?

    • I think it is…it shows they KNOW they have to ppop. You know, before they are in the middle of it.

  2. Cute pictures! I can’t believe you guys got that much snow! I live in SE Michigan and we’ve barely gotten over an inch…and it’s all gone! You’re right, weirdest Michigan winter ever!

    • we live right on Lake Michigan, so when they call for feet of lake effect snow? That would be us that gets covered in the stuff!

  3. Yes, our winter has been so strange. And I kind of want that calendar.

  4. Eddie is so going to hate you for that toilet picture…
    And you guys had snow?
We don’t even have that in Canada.
    But you can keep it.

    • That is all the snow we had. And it was all lake effect. And it’s already gone. Because this winter is weird…but I am ok with that.

  5. Potty sitting is where it’s AT!

  6. Love those apple lips! :>

  7. Love your pictures and even the attempt of poop in the potty is HUGE!!

  8. Sounds like a GREAT week to me!

  9. Love the calendar! That is way more snow than we’ve gotten over here in the middle of the mitten. We haven’t covered our yard yet.

    • we live right on Lake Michigan, so we get all that lake effect snow that the news shows hovering over the lake. It both sucks and is fun. We get more snow days than anyone I know.

  10. A good step indeed… Lucas is making ZERO strides towards being potty trained. Of course, his mother isn’t helping matters much.

    Cool pix.

    • yeah, I am really doing nothing to encourage it other than to sit him on the potty if he asks. Which has been a total of two times in two months. I’m not pushing until he is 3.

  11. After a weeks’ worth of code browns, I saw Leila in a bit of distress during bath time, so I picked her up and forced her on the potty . . . where she pooped.

She was the proudest that I’ve ever seen a 16 month old. Of course, nothing like this has come about since, but I’m still holding out hope that 2012 is the last year of diapers in the Batzer house.
