too much

My post for The Red Dress Club is over here…

Besides that there is too much going on.

Tuesday, May 31st is my last full day teaching for the school year.

It’s also graduation night.  The last one that I will be in charge of since I have officially resigned the position of Senior Class Adviser.

It will be busy.

I have things to blog about and say, but they will wait while I wrap up this school year.

I know I have posted quite a few pictures lately, but they fill time and space nicely while I get my thoughts together.

So I am doing it again.

Enjoy our Memorial Day Weekend…

About Katie

Just a small town girl...wait no. That is a Journey song. Katie Sluiter is a small town girl, but she is far from living in a lonely world. She is a middle school English teacher, writer, mother, and wife. Life has thrown her a fair share of challenges, but her belief is that writing through them makes her stronger.

  1. Looked like a great weekend, Katie! Have a great graduation night tomorrow.

  2. That little boy is just so darned adorable. Just adorable.

  3. Such a big week for you, Katie! I think it’s awesome that you are the senior advisor, you must be very cool to them. But it’s a big job, so it’s time for someone else to take it on!

  4. Looks like you had a lovely weekend. We enjoyed the long over-due heat!! For real.

    God luck this week!

  5. Looks like y’all had a lot of fun!

My family stayed inside with pizza and movies avoiding the heat. I am a wimp.

  6. Good luck tonight!

We did a lot of hanging out as a family and playing outside. Oh, and we went to the zoo, which is my favorite.

(And he is so adorable, who could complain about pictures?)

  7. AHAAH!! I love Eddie’s shirt! LOVE!

I can’t wait to bust out a kiddie pool for Joshua this weekend. Glad y’all enjoyed the holiday!

  8. From those pictures, it looks like you had a fun weekend. I love Eddie’s shirt! My son has one that says “Major Hunk” in camo colors. I think it’s a requirement for little boys!

Good luck with wrapping up the school year and graduation.

  9. We hung out at home. Ran some errands. took a few trips to the park. Sunday afternoon, before the oppressive heat set in, we sat out on our back deck playing enjoying a few beers and watching the lil’ bit drench herself with her watering can. It was bliss, pure bliss.

    Enjoy Graduation Night!

  10. Here’s to many more dips to come!

  11. Good luck with the end of the school year!
We didn’t do much for the long weekend. We’ve been staying at grandma & grandpa’s for the last couple of weeks so everyday feels like a vacation!

  12. you’re little boy is so cute. looks like a great weekend!

    So completely fantastic.

As is the last teaching day of the school year. Congratulations on the completion of another cycle.

It is such an accomplishment. Every time.

So at graduation, take time to be proud of yourself while showering your students with praise.

    You deserve it. Every year.

  14. Um…best shirt EVER
