Our Halls are Decked

Today is the first day of December…so the halls around here?  Oh they are decked.

I might like snowmen.

Also?  If you are looking for more about yours truly?  I am the featured blogger today on The Red Dress Club.  I almost fell over in shock and honor when Cheryl asked me.  So please don’t leave me alone over there. Don’t let them regret their choice.  Because I am all sorts of giggly and nervous over here.

*ahem*

Have a lovely Wednesday.

  1. Oh, how fun! Heading over there right now….and I, myself, might like Santa Claus if you peeked around my house right now!

  2. I love seeing Christmas decorating pictures – more please!! 🙂

  3. Yay for decorations! They look great! Want to come over and do my house next?? I’m hoping to get started this weekend…

    • We are doing our tree this weekend! I am super excited…although a bit nervous of how the toddler is going to treat the tree. eek!

  4. Old school lights? Boom. I knew I loved you. We still sport the non-energy efficient bulbs too and multicoloured I might add. We’re all about nostalgia and lack in the Martha Stewart-ish style appeal. It’s about memories and wackiness. Hm…just like family.
Going to swing by and check your debut!!!

    • oh you are going to LOVE our tree then. We use the monster dork bulbs from like 1972. They are AWESOME! I love a good tacky tree…made with love instead of matchy matchy 🙂

  5. oooh how fun! you are on top of things! we are going to get a tree on saturday! also i love your nativity scene, it is very elegant.

    • thanks! we are doing our tree this weekend too. that nativity scene looks way better in pictures than in real life, but it was free from my mom, so I love it 🙂

  6. Happy December!

The only thing I noticed missing were red & green peanut butter M&Ms!

    • because I ate them all! Ha! Just kidding…they will be there soon! And? I will take pictures! Don’t you worry! Happy December to you!

  7. Cute, cute! love it! And congratulations, will have to go and check you out over at the rdc 🙂

    • thanks, girl! I love the holidays. they are way fun. and I love the rdc…so I am all honored to be over there!

  8. Love getting into the Christmas spirit! Great decorations, those paper chains are fun to make!

    • yes, we do love this season around here! And Eddie “made” that chain at daycare on Tuesday. We are supposed to rip of a ring until christmas, but I can’t bear to do that to his first chain 🙂

  9. I will be starting my decking this weekend.

Although Himself and I are currently in deep philosophical discussions.

    About our complicated Jewish Christmas?

    No.

About artificial trees. Which I MAY be actually leaning towards finally, after 42 years of staunch rejection.

    Stay tuned.

    • i have never had a fake tree. ew. you can SO tell it’s fake. it even FEELS fake. wait…still talking about a tree right? RIGHT?!
