A Place of His Own

Recently Eddie has discovered that if he empties all his toys out of his toy cupboard…

and his toy basket…

that he can squeeze his booty into that toy basket…

and maybe bring a toy or two back in…

he fits just right…

because my little guy has found…

a place of his own.

About Katie

Just a small town girl...wait no. That is a Journey song. Katie Sluiter is a small town girl, but she is far from living in a lonely world. She is a middle school English teacher, writer, mother, and wife. Life has thrown her a fair share of challenges, but her belief is that writing through them makes her stronger.

  1. He is a cutie! I just love when they find little places like that. Mas makes himself comfortable in the most awkward silly places.

    • we were laughing so hard! his booty was up in the air and then there he was! he kept closing the doors too! funny!

  2. Hee hee. The places those bums will go and try to fit into! This morning Chunky was sitting inside my “green” grocery box with all of his stuffed animals. I should post those pics. It made me smile this morning. Much needed.

    • I know, right? Eddie likes to sit in empty diaper boxes too. and the laundry basket. and he closes the cabinet doors sometimes when he is in there. Like he needs privacy! HA!

  3. So sweet! Please make sure he does not hit the magnet thing with his head. I would hate for a little bump to pop on his forehead.

My son loves to close doors on himself, especially in the pantry, the bathroom, and it’s pitch black in there. He does not care. He likes privacy too, like Eddie.

By the way, I loved you before, but I might love you even more in WP, commenting on this platform is so much better! 🙂

    • Thanks, Maryline! I know, I am always worried that he will hit his head on that thing, and he never does. He always ducks, but i get nervous each time!

Yes, WP is totally lovely, isn’t it? So much better. SO SO SO much better!

  4. hahaha awwww Love it, so cute!

  5. i wish i could hide in a basket behind a door

    most days.
