The People I Work With

I don’t go to work in an office building.

I don’t sit in a cubicle all day answering phones or staring at computer screens.
I don’t put products together or sell things to customers.
I work with tomorrow’s businessmen and teachers and senators and designers, not today’s.
I work with the people who will diagnose your sickness or take care of you in a nursing home or create policy and laws for your grandchildren.
I laugh every day. I sigh every day.

I am thankful every day for the people I work with.

About Katie

Just a small town girl...wait no. That is a Journey song. Katie Sluiter is a small town girl, but she is far from living in a lonely world. She is a middle school English teacher, writer, mother, and wife. Life has thrown her a fair share of challenges, but her belief is that writing through them makes her stronger.
