Spring…and Cortney…Are Just Around the Corner!

He just couldn’t wait.

As you may remember, Cort got a bike for Christmas which has been sitting in the basement since December 25. Every time the weather hints at warming up, Cort has mentioned how he can’t wait to ride his new bike.

Yesterday, he finally did it. He spent the morning and early afternoon rigging a pulley system in our garage to store his ride. When the storage system was all in place, the bike finally made the trip from the basement to the garage.

Now yesterday was about 48 degrees and rainy, but when I saw Cort carry the bike up, I KNEW he wouldn’t be able to just put it on the pulley and put it up in the garage and walk away. And sure enough, I walked by the front window and there goes my husband, down the road, in the sprinkling rain, on his new bike!

He made the trip around the loop in our subdivision and came cruising back in the pic you see above. He was pretty cold and wet looking, but it was clearly worth it to him! He reluctantly put his new ride up in the garage and left her there for a warmer day.

So look out…when you start to feel those warm winds of spring blowing around the corner…Cortney may be right behind them on his sweet new ride!
