An Extra Bonus to Today

Besides getting a new president, I had a little extra bonus today…I THINK I felt the baby today!

I was sitting at my desk, taking attendance, and all of a sudden I felt this weird little flutter in my stomach. I must have had a weird look on my face because one of the kids who sits in the front asked me, “you alright, there, Mrs. Sluiter?”

I nodded, and just before I was about to stand up, I felt it again. My students were all looking at me, expecting me to tell them what the warm up was, so I told them to write sentences, and just as I was saying, “get out your vocab book and pick five words…” THERE IT WAS AGAIN!!!!

My students got to work, and I sat down for a second to print some progress reports, and for the FOURTH time….there was that weird fluttering again.

I haven’t felt it since then, but I am 99% sure that that weird flutter bug in my tummy was our little bundle of joy! He/she must be excited to get a new president too!

how exciting! you so did not tell me this when I saw you! I am sure that was what you felt and only you would know and when you do, you just do. and you looked great! and no more giant mudslides for me…and the brad pitt magazine had a two page article, for five dollars, so I think not. and that is my mini novel of the night….we need to do it again though!

  2. I just love the passion you two have for life! Your baby is getting wonderful parents!!! Hugs!!!
